Where your data goes, in plain words

You will want to know this before you describe a deal to a tool. This page says where it runs, who reads what you type, what is kept and what is not. It describes the product as it is today, including the parts that are not yet where we want them.

State on 08/10/2026. The product is in a closed test.

Hosted in the EU

The application runs in the Netherlands and the database in Frankfurt. Your account, your conversations and your projects are stored there.

Your question is read by a language model

To answer, the text of your question is sent to an AI provider. That provider is not yet limited to the EU. Moving the model to EU hosting is planned, and this page will say so once it is done.

A deal you describe is not kept

A deal description is read once and dropped, unless you choose to save it as a project. Conversations with the Analyst are saved, so you can return to them, and you can delete them.

What the tool works on

The decisions are public documents of the European Commission. You never upload a document, and the tool holds no client files.

The only thing of yours that enters the tool is what you type: a question, a deal description, and the notes you put in a project.

Where it runs

All servers that hold or handle your data at rest are in the EU.

What is stored, and what is not

WhatStored?Detail
Your email addressYesTo sign you in. Nothing else about you is asked.
Questions to the Analyst and the answersYesSo a conversation survives a closed tab. You can delete a conversation at any time.
ProjectsYesThe research question, notes and case list you write into them. Deleting the project removes them.
A deal you describeNoRead once to find comparable cases, then dropped. Stored only if you choose "Save as project".
DocumentsNoThere is no upload.
UsageYesThat a question was asked, by which account and what it cost to answer. We use it to keep track of our own costs.

During the closed test, the team behind the tool can read saved conversations and projects. We use them to find where the tool answers badly.

Which AI services see what

An answer needs a language model, and the model has to read your question. These are the services involved, and what each one receives.

We do not send your name or email address with the text.

We do not use your questions to train a model.

What we advise for a confidential deal

Describe the deal without names. The search runs on products, countries, the type of overlap and the structure, so a description such as "a cement producer buys a ready-mixed concrete supplier in Belgium and the Netherlands" works as well as one with the parties in it.

Do not paste client-confidential material while the product is in test.

What is not there yet

We would sooner list this than have you find it.

  • The language model and the search service are not yet hosted in the EU.
  • The privacy statement and the terms in the app are drafts. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer.
  • There is no data processing agreement to sign yet, and no security certification.
  • Saved conversations are visible to us during the test.
